3. Inariyama Burial Mound
The Inariyama Burial Mound is a 120-meter-long keyhole-shaped kofun, and was the first one constructed in the Saitama Kofun Cluster. Two burial chambers were found during an excavation project conducted in 1968.
Funerary objects found in this unrobbed rekikaku (pebble-lined tomb) were designated as national treasures in 1983. These objects include arms and armor, horse armor and equipment, accessories, farming tools, and mirrors, all dated to the end of the fifth century.
